Natural Lighting

GenCore Building One will maximize the utilization of daylighting to minimize excessive or obtrusive artificial light. Floor space has direct line of sight to energy-efficient windows on more than 75% of occupied space. Additionally, exterior mounted light shelves will help further distribute natural lighting to the building's interior.

Light Fixtures

Where applicable, energy-efficient lighting will be implemented to contribute to overall indoor environmental quality. Our lighting plan uses indirect/task lighting and other measures to lower energy costs.

LED lighting will consume 25% less energy than incandescent lights, thus dramatically lower energy costs over time.
Computer controlled occupancy sensors adjust lighting levels according to human proximity.
Electronic solar-adaptive window shades will further balance levels of natural and artificial light.

Energy Savings

Initial lighting investments are projected to provide significant energy cost reduction over time.
